Early Years
The Early Years program at ZIS is comprised of the Nursery (both half-day and full-day programs) (ages 3-4) and Reception (ages4-5) The campus is designed with young children in mind, providing ample space for play and learning activities. The Early Years program allows young children extended periods of time and as much space as possible to explore, investigate and play, with a variety of materials, both in and out doors, in order to learn about themselves, other students and people, and the Zhuhai world around them. These spaces include reading and writing, construction and building, imaginative play and technology, arts and crafts, with a wide variety of appropriate resources in each.
The Early Years for any child¡¯s life is a rapid time of development and progression, particularly in the physical, social, emotional and intellectual domains. For many children, these years also mark the first transition from home to life outside of the family and to a new physical community. With these understandings in mind, ZIS provides a flexible and supportive Early Years program so that children¡¯s interests, self-esteem and confidence are continually developed.
