Dear All,

Welcome to Zhuhai International School. It is my privilege to be the Principal of a school which is set in what can be considered as one of the most desirable locations for a school in the world. After many years in education both with international schools and national systems around the world, it is my pleasure to head up this wonderful school.

Zhuhai International School is all about quality international education. We are firm in our priorities and mission to provide above all, a leading education for the international community that live in and around Zhuhai. We have put together an educational programme based on professional experience and leading research on current educational practice. All students who attend ZIS will be exposed to a quality education which will give them greater choices for their future.

Zhuhai International School is implementing the International Baccalaureate programme and is currently a candidate school for the PYP and an interested school for the MYP. The International Baccalaureate (IB) offers high quality programmes of international education to a worldwide community of schools. There are more than 2,700 schools in 138 countries.

Our teaching staff is fully qualified and certified. Western teachers have previous international experience and are sourced from native speaking English countries and Chinese teachers are certified and speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese. There are many unique aspects about the programme we offer at ZIS. One of the most distinguishing features is that each Early Childhood and Primary class has a qualified English and Chinese teacher working together. The language of instruction in the school is English with a significant focus on the development of Mandarin.

I look forward to welcoming you personally to the school. We opened our doors to the international community in September 2007 and have rapidly grown our enrolment since that first year. Our aim is to be one of the leading international schools in the region and we look forward to developing this aim over the next few years.
